2003 Laughlin Desert Challenge (01-17-03)

Laughlin was a mixed bag for us. The race was run as a two day event, with each day comprised of four eleven-mile laps. It amounted to a pair of forty mile sprints! On day one, John started strong but a holed exhaust header forced a stop. After some side of the course repair, John ran at full throttle again to finish sixty sixth overall.  John drove a flawless race on day two, running each lap faster than the previous one. He scored a second overall in a field of over one hundred cars, showing the potential of this car/driver combo. The combined results for both days gave us an eleventh in class and twenty fifth overall. Our next stop is the San Felipe 250, 14 March 2003.
